Virginia L. Gutierrez

Overview

Virginia L. Gutierrez is a practicing attorney who serves clients throughout Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania. Her practice serves clients in various legal fields: personal injury, Workers Compensation, criminal defense, domestic relations, and real estate law.
 
Ms. Gutierrez is fluent in Spanish and represents clients in state and federal courts. She also was hired to handle the licensing agreement between the National Women's Football League and the Philadelphia Belles Professional Women's Football Team. In September 2000, China delegated Criminal Law professionals studied and reviewed Chinese criminal justice system in Beijing and Xian, China.

She has served voluntarily in the community since her relocation from Texas in 1989. As an attorney she participated in various programs, including, the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (VIP), Friends of Farmworkers of Pennsylvania, and AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania. In September 2000, Virginia was honored by being named as a delegate of the Criminal Law Leaders Delegation to the People?s Republic of China. Virginia serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the William Way Community Center where she volunteers her time to to promote diversity and inclusion of all members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community.

Ms. Gutierrez is an avid sportswoman and has coached both mens? and womens? softball teams in the City of Brotherly Love Softball League (CBLSL) and in the Fairmount Park Softball League, coaching Sisterspace to a championship. She is one of the founders of the Women's Division in the CBLSL and continues to be an active coach and player in that league.
